BLACKENED Whiskey Strength Volume 2 was created in collaboration with the late master distiller Dave Pickerell and the band Metallica, continuing the BLACKENED project's blend of craft whiskey-making and rock and roll. This super-premium release blends straight bourbons and ryes finished using BLACKENED's signature sonic-enhancement aging process, in which sound waves are used to actively move the whiskey through the barrel wood.
Expect a nose of dark fruit, toasted oak and rich caramel, with a palate that layers bourbon and rye spice together, carrying brown sugar, baking spice and deep oak tannin, finishing long and bold. As a "strength" release, this bottling is built with a more robust, higher-intensity profile than the standard BLACKENED American Whiskey.
