Saint Cloud Abstrakt 9 Year Whiskey is part of Saint Cloud's X Series, a line of experimental whiskeys that bridges the worlds of bourbon and art by featuring bottle designs from artists around the world. This particular release, Abstrakt 2, is a wheated, pot-distilled bourbon matured for approximately nine years before being finished in hand-picked French charred oak casks.
The barrel spent its final months of finishing in the hottest part of the distillery, a technique that intensifies flavor extraction, before being bottled at 110 proof. Expect a rich, wheated bourbon profile with deep caramel and vanilla notes, amplified by the extended maturation and hot-finish technique into a bold, high-proof pour. The bottle itself is adorned with artwork by New York City artist Christopher "Flore" Florentino, making it as much a collector's piece as a whiskey.
